We will be hosting our annual, friendly Junior Selection event on Saturday 8th July.  This is aimed at any young people interested in gaining competition experience and/or being considered for Boulder UK’s Development Squad or Academy for the coming year – 2023/24.

The event will run as closely to a YCS (Youth Climbing Series) bouldering round as possible.  We will split the young people into youth categories based on their year of birth as per the IFSC’s regulations (International Federation of Sport Climbing). There will be 8 blocs/problems set for each category and the young people will have two hours to complete them with a maximum of 5 attempts per bloc. 

We encourage all of our current Development Squad and Academy climbers to attend, as well as any of our BlocMasters and Minis interested in competition experience and/or being considered for the Development Squad or Academy. Please note that a current place on this year’s Development Squad or Academy does not guarantee a place for the coming year.
