Rab Women’s Social : BUK Trad Day

This day is all about having a go at outdoor trad climbing and learning or refreshing fundamental trad safety skills. 

As well as lots of climbing and tips for moving on rock, we’ll cover a range of skills such as gear placements, rope work and abseiling, so that you can feel more confident and capable of getting going climbing outdoors. 

There will be a maximum group size of 8, and the day will take place at Hutton Roof (50 mins drive from Boulder UK)

Who is this for?

Anyone who is new to outdoor route climbing and just wants a go.

Anyone who has trad climbed before but wants to consolidate or refresh key skills.

Participants will ideally be able to tie-in and belay already.

14- 17 year olds can attend, but only with a parent/guardian who is also attending the session. 

You will need to bring:

  • Suitable outdoor clothing for the weather. (including waterproofs just in case!)
  • Harnesses, helmets and rock shoes can be provided, but bring your own if you have them.
